Dr. E. Whit Holmes

Dr. E. Whit Holmes became the pastor of Parkview in January, 2005. He is a native of Gulfport Mississippi and has served in churches in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Baylor University in 1978. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982 and completed his Doctor of Philosophy at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995. Dr. Holmes and his wife Melissa were married in 1982 and have two sons. Dr. Holmes enjoys fishing and duck hunting.

Gabriel Krell

Gabriel Krell is our Minister of Education. He came to Parkview in October of 2009. He previously served as Minister of Music and Education at Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson, TX and as the Director of the Counseling Ministry for the Southwest Metroplex Baptist Association. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Southern Mississippi as well as a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Andrea are originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi and have two beautiful children. He enjoys music and cycling.

Jan Breedlove

Jan Breedlove is Parkview’s Children’s and Preschool Director. She helps the Children’s Ministry by coordinating, assisting, and developing various programs at Parkview for grades 6 and under. Jan received a B.S. from Mississippi State University in 1996. A native of Hernando, MS, she has lived in Monroe for over two years. She joined the Parkview staff in March 2009. Jan and her husband, Bobby, have two daughters. Jan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, jogging, and craft projects.

Prior to coming to Parkview Baptist Church, Lanny served churches in Leesville, Winnsboro, and Haynesville, Louisiana, and Snyder, Texas. A native Texan, Lanny received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M University and the Master of Music degree from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Lanny and his wife, Cherie, are proud parents of two sons. Lanny enjoys various horticultural endeavors, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Chris Bryant joined the Parkview Baptist Church staff as Youth Intern in November 2008 and became Youth Minister in March 2009. Chris is a native of West Monroe Louisiana. He is currently attending college at the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a major in psychology. His future education plans are to attend New Orleans Theological Seminary via extension in Shreveport La. Chris has also served in youth ministries at Ouachita Baptist Church and at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Chris has enjoyed working at numerous summer camps such as Cross Camp, Frontliners, and Youniversity. In 2005 Chris served as a summer missionary in Vancouver, Canada. In his free time Chris enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, playing guitar, and spending time in God’s Word.
