Ministries

Bible Study / Sunday School

Bible Study / Sunday School starts at 9:15 each Sunday.  Our teachers are well-equipped to share the Bible and minister to you and your family.  We provide classes for everyone from Preschool to Senior Adults.  The church nursery is available for children younger than Preschool age during Bible Study and Worship Service.

Preschool children are also cared for during the worship service in extended care where they learn Bible stories, play, and sing.

Our children's departments, for those in grades one through six, provide music, learning activities, Bible study and love for your child.  Our youth have a special place to meet for Bible study and are challenged to live for Christ.  Bible study is one of the most important areas of a Christian's life.  We encourage you to seek out the class that meets your needs and allows you the most personal growth.  In your class, you will become acquainted with your fellow members and feel the warm fellowship of our church.

Music

At Parkview Baptist Church, we believe that God is worthy of our praise!  Parkview has enjoyed a rich musical heritage, and it is our desire to continue that heritage.  We've discovered that true worship is that which honors God and celebrates and exalts our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Worship is more than any one particular style of music, and being a multi-generational congregation, we are committed to a diversity of style in our worship services.  We blend traditional hymns with joyful praise and worship songs, using piano, pipe organ, praise band, choir, praise team, or any combination of these.  You are sure to find meaningful worship at Parkview Baptist Church!

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."  Colossians 3:16

Chancel Choir - Rehearsal - Wednesdays at 6:45 pm.
Sings most Sundays during the morning worship services and provides seasonal music programs such as the Hanging of the Green service on the first Sunday evening in December and for the annual Maundy Thursday service.

Children and Preschool Ministry

Sunday School

Every child at Parkview Baptist has the opportunity to engage in a fun learning time of Jesus Christ and the Bible.  Sunday School prepares the fundamental building blocks for a child's life that will lead them, when the time is right, to begin their relationship with Jesus Christ.  There is a class for any child, birth - 6th grade, located in the Children's Wing.

Extended Care

Extended Care provides loving care to children ages birth - 2 years-old located in Rooms 141 and 143 across the hall from the Children's Worship Center during the Worship Service.

Children's Church

All children ages 3 years through 3rd grade are invited to join us in the Children's Worship Center after dismissal from the Worship Service to have our own fun worship time including songs, story, crafts, games, snack, and more!  4th - 6th graders will have the opportunity to sign up for Parkview's Park Patrol to help prepare for and assist during the Children's Church time on a rotating basis.  Make your plans now to attend this exciting time at Parkview!

Children's and Preschool Choir

Join us as we praise God through songs and music on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm.  Each choir prepares for two programs and various specials on Sunday mornings each year.  The preschool choir meets in Room 131 and the children's choir meets in the Children's Worship Center located in the Children's Wing.

Mission Friends, GAs, and RAs

Are kids too young to make a difference in the world?  Not only are they capable of making a difference, but they are very capable of becoming leaders for Christ.  Every child can learn to serve God and the world around them through our mission groups on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm.  Come and discover how your child can find out more about missionaries and how to change their lives and the lives of others for Christ.  Missions Friends meets in Room 133 in the Children's Wing.  GAs meet upstairs in Room 275, and RAs meet upstairs in Room 214.

Apologetics

Sunday Nights at 6:00 pm.  Are spent exploring Apologetics.  What is Apologetics?  Apologetics is simple learning how to defend the faith.  Today it seems Christianity is being attacked more and more.  For this reason it is important for us to be ready to give a reason for why we believe!  We meet in the Youth room located in the Family Life Center.

Youth Prayer Meeting

The first Monday of each month, we meet at 6:00 pm in the Youth Room for a time to simply pray.  Prayer is a very important part of our relationship with God.  This is a special time for us to pull up a seat and talk about what is going on in our lives, then spend some time in prayer.

Senior Adult Ministry

The Senior Adult Ministry of Parkview Baptist Church strives to offer opportunities for meaningful worship, discipleship, service, and fellowship.  On the third Tuesday of each month, a large group of senior adults meets at 10:30 am for games and fellowship.  A wonderful lunch is served at 11:45 followed by a program.  Day trips and Prayer Retreats are also planned throughout the year for seniors.
